In 2023, Disa produced inner and outer wall shot blasting/peening machines for steel cylinders for Faurecia. For outer wall shot blasting:
Cylinders are fed via a conveyor belt at the input end, which combines rotation + linear motion during movement.
The blasting chamber is equipped with high-efficiency, advanced, low-maintenance blast wheels at the top.
Conveyor speed is adjustable to meet production capacity requirements.
The machine incorporates efficient abrasive recovery, separation, and control systems to continuously remove dust, debris, and oversized/undersized particles from the abrasive.
An abrasive control valve precisely meters the abrasive flow to the blast wheels.
Exceptional surface finish is achieved through optimized blast wheel layout, high-intensity projection force, and an innovative conveying system.


Blasting chamber specifications:
 Chamber length: 2000 mm
Chamber structure: Welded steel plates and section steel
Top-mounted 2 sets of turbine head assemblies, designed based on computerized dynamic simulations with optimized angles/positions.
Each turbine head is aligned at specific angles to the workpiece’s motion direction, ensuring full coverage while minimizing ineffective abrasive projection, maximizing abrasive utilization, and reducing chamber liner wear.
Chamber housing: Robust, rigid construction with Mn13 liners for superior impact resistance.

For inner wall peening:
Compressed air accelerates projectiles to generate kinetic energy for blasting the cylinder’s inner walls.
When a cylinder is positioned in the peening gun chamber, guns automatically extend into each cylinder and move vertically for full-coverage peening.
Key components: Pneumatic front/rear sealing chambers, peening guns with guide mechanisms, gun carrier cart, variable-speed traversing system, cylinder rotation system, clamping system, automated loading/unloading system, pneumatic abrasive recovery system, sand hopper, blasting tank, air separator, dust collection system, pneumatic system, compressed air system, and electrical controls.
Automated operation flow:
Open the reverse sealing chamber; the automatic loading system transfers cylinders from the storage rack to the working position.
Clamping device secures the cylinder; sealing chamber closes; cylinder rotates.
Gun carrier cart drives peening guns for inner wall processing.
High-volume dust collection system recovers projectiles and collects dust.
Post-peening: Close shot valves, retract guns, open sealing chamber, and automatic unloading system transfers cylinders to the discharge platform.
After using Disa’s shot blasting/peening machines, Faurecia’s cylinders achieve clean metallic surfaces on both inner and outer walls, with inner surface cleanliness reaching SA2.0-2.5.
