Rotary drum type shot blasting machine adopts a specific rotary drum construction. When the blast wheels perform cleaning operation, the drum not only rotates, but also swings up and down, so parts in the drum can be completely stirred and thereby achieving a uniform cleaning effect. The chamber body of the drum type shot blasting machine adopts a unique construction and can clean common castings and forgings. Even if thin parts and special small castings, they can be processed without being damaged. The construction of the drum and the machine body is simple, so the parts which are susceptible to damages are reduced, time and cost of maintenance are saved.
The technique of using the rotary drum type shot blasting machine is as follows: the drum is tilted a certain angle in the horizontal direction, therefore the workpieces are efficiently cleaned with high quality. There is nearly no gap among the guard plates in the roller. Sound attenuating is considered when we designed the rotary drum type shot blasting machine in order to minimize the noises.
To reduce noises, the barrel and the discharge door are each divided into three layers. The inside layer is a wear-resistant guard plate, the middle layer is a sound insulation rubber and the outside lay is a common guide plate. The three layers are connected in series through bolts. The wear-resistant guard plate is provided with ball-leakage holes. The steel balls flow out of the inner cavity and recovery of the steel balls is guaranteed. The impurities on the steel balls are removed through a vibrating screen and the steel balls are elevated to a BE type separator to be separated and recycled through an elevator. The castings are also conveyed through the vibrating screen, because the vibrating screen can screen the impurities and residuals and the steel balls from the casting cavity The castings are clean and the screened steel balls and the mixed main flow steel balls are together elevated through the elevator, then the steel balls are separated and recycled and the loss of the steel balls is minimized.
